The British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS) was delighted to host the Women in Spine Education (WISE) Meeting 2025, organised by Miss Rawan Masarwa, Senior Spinal Fellow at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.

Two days of networking, learning, and collaboration brought together professionals from across the world to share experiences, research, and inspiration.

The event celebrated diversity, leadership, and collaboration in spinal surgery, and it was inspiring to see so many passionate professionals come together to exchange knowledge and support one another.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our fantastic speakers for their valuable insights and contributions:
• Mr Michael Grevitt, Consultant Spine Surgeon, Nottingham
• Mr Eyal Behrbalk, Head of Spinal Unit, Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Hadera, Israel
• Laylaa Abou-Naser, Consultant Hand Surgeon, Hadassah Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel
• Hui-Ling Kerr, Orthopaedic Spine Consultant, Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust
• Mr Elie Najjar, Orthopaedic Spinal Consultant, Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham
