The British Association of Spine Surgeons actively promotes the study of spinal disorders with particular attention to the surgical treatment of spinal disease and disorders.

BASS welcomes applications from clinicians both in the United Kingdom and overseas.

Guide for Membership Types
Consultant - Orthopaedic or Neurological Surgeon at Consultant grade, or SAS doctor/surgeon
Trainee - Orthopaedic or Neurological Surgeon at Trainee grade (from FY1)
Allied Health Professional - Including Physiotherapists, Nurses, Osteopaths, Radiologists and many others whose clinical practice include spine patients
Retired - Retired members of BASS in any of the above categories
