Biographical Information

Past president British Association spine surgeons. Adrian Casey was the first neurosurgeon to be appointed as a pure spine surgeon. He holds appointments at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore and the National Hospital for neurology and neuro surgery Queen Square London. He is clinical lead of the Spine unit. He has published 200
articles in peer review journals and 18 book chapters. He is regularly invited to national and international meetings with expertise on artificial discs, minimally invasive surgery, rheumatoid arthritis, Tarlov cysts, cervical kyphosis and spine tumours.

Adrian has been active in education and set up the advanced spine course at the European Association of neurosurgeons. He has been involved in the lifelong teaching program for The Society of British neurological surgeons. He is the spine lead for the world Federation of neurosurgeons.
